Аннотация

This study examines the representation and definition of behavioral verbs in English and Uzbek monolingual and bilingual dictionaries. Through qualitative analysis, it compares semantic clarity, definitional strategies, and the handling of polysemy and contextual meanings across selected dictionaries. The findings highlight significant differences shaped by linguistic and cultural factors, as well as lexicographic traditions. The study offers recommendations for enhancing dictionary entries to improve usability for language learners and translators.
