Abstract
This article analyzes the pedagogical and psychological content and theoretical foundations of the concept of metacognitive reflection, which plays an important role in students' educational and professional activities. The relationship between the concepts of metacognition and reflection is examined based on foreign and Russian psychological literature, including the works of J.Flavell, B.Zimmerman, A.V.Karpov, as well as studies of local researchers. The article presents the research methodology, the obtained results and their theoretical interpretation, as well as practical recommendations for developing metacognitive reflection in students.
