This article analyzes the pedagogical-psychological content of the concept of professional adaptation in the activity of school psychologists, along with its theoretical and methodological foundations. The stages, criteria, and internal and external factors determining the adaptation process are examined. The specific features of the adaptation process are revealed in the context of emotional strain, communicative load, and role conflicts characteristic of a school psychologist's professional activity.
